Seems the Russians have had a go at the Royal Mail IT systems and succeeded, which is affecting international mail from the UK.

"Royal Mail has been warning customers since Wednesday of disruption due to a "cyber-incident". Its latest advice is for people not to
try to send international letters and parcels until the issue is resolved."

For the first time our new UK credit cards arrived by DHL the other day.

How much did it cost with DHL for credit cards? I was flabbergasted at the cost of sending a letter from here to Hong Kong last year/year before with them - 105 euros! I don't often remember prices after so long, but that one has stuck in my head.

Hi AM,

Didn't cost us anything fortunately as obviously bank decided to send via DHL given UK postal strikes. It did cause huge amounts of confusion/concern when DHL called, as we were not expecting any DHL post, thinking it may be a scam!

Thanks LW, that was great for you. I can just imagine your concern about the out of the blue contact from DHL when not expected. Had have texts in the past to my old UK phone number which were obviously scams.
