This Company are also the worst for paying compensation to customers .They have hundreds of County Court judgements and apparently do not have any UK assets. A friend of mine had issues when flying out of Larnaca, flight cancelled not told till arrived at Airport ,put up in a substandard so called hotel, out by noon for a 22.00hrs flight ,still waiting for compensation .Would never use this Airline!!

To balance things up, we used Wizz Air to/from Luton.
Flight on time both ways , clean aircraft and service good.
Of course there is no IFE and you pay for all food/drinks.
I have been told that you need to make sure your luggage is within allowance booked or they fleece you for adding it on at airport. We only had cabin luggage so not a problem.
I have no doubt that if you were looking for compensation it could prove difficult. If you travel with a budget airline it can often be harder to resolve issues.

You can scroll down to download compensation letters without using this company that can do it for you. Worth a try. All airlines try not to pay compensation.

Bott charge £180 to get you £350 EC261 compensation.
Total ripoff for something airlines are liable to pay in full.
I use these who are free & have claimed successfully for me on the occasions I've needed to....

Clearly you haven’t read what I said or the article. I said if you scroll down you can download the letters to enable one to claim themselves. That’s free, if you want to use the company that’s the other option, then you pay them to do it.
Which is why I said it’s worth a try to use the letters they have provided.

Whizz Air are running out of rubber bands and personnel to wind-up their propellers to go anywhere on time let alone deal with compensation complaints!!

I haven't disputed anything you wrote - I just gave people more information and a company to use fee free.
Sorry if I've offended you.

Wizz Air have 16 aircraft registered in the UK, so they do have assets in the UK.

Flew with Wizz, 4 people May 2022. 2 cancelled flights. 3,200 Euro compensation owed. Took until January this year to receive about half which more than covered the cost of flights, told me I wasn't entitled to any more. Kept on at them on a weekly basis, calling them every conceivable name under the sun, even did a scathing Trip Advisor review to join the hundreds of others already on there. Then in March they said they need Power of Atrorney for the other 3 passengers as they have changed the rules. I said no and they can't change European Law to suit themselves. Got further compensation paid for my ticket but not the other 3. They said I need to file a claim on some other website without PoA. I said no and told them I'd be taking them to court of they don't pay up. Got an email from them this week saying payment had been authorised and should be in my account within 14 to 20 days, which was the case with the 2 previous payments. This outfit have no shame, no self respect and no respect for their customers that keep them in jobs and their planes in the air (when they take off). Went direct to Ercan this time and will do from now on as the prices were on a par with Wizz anyway. They should be thrown out of operating from the UK if they don't get their act together.

We received compensation from Anadolu jet (Turkish Airlines) about 3 weeks ago for a cancellation at the beginning of November last year and we really had to fight to get it. TA are constantly changing and cancelling flights and for that reason I will in future give them a wide berth.

Haircut ,i think you may find that these aircraft called wet Leases in the trade !
Copy from there Company report .
Leases
The Group leases most of its aircraft and spare engines. Other than aircraft and spare engines the Group
has only a limited number of leases related to offices, flight training simulator buildings (and earlier also
equipment), and maintenance hangars.
The Group elected to use the following practical expedients permitted by IFRS 16:
lease payments associated with short-term leases (contracts with a duration of twelve months or less)
and with leases for which the underlying asset is of low value (defined by the Group as below €5,000)
are recognised on a straight-line basis over the lease term; and
it did not reassess whether a contract that the Group entered into before the date of initial application
was a lease or contained a lease – that is, IFRS 16 has only been applied to contracts that were previously
classified as leases.
The Group has short-term leases from F22 and related expenses are recognised in the Aircraft rentals line.

Welome to a Hungarian regime company sympathetically allied to Putins Russia and should have all its fly licences revoked and the corrupt Country kicked out of the EU!

Had similar experience getting money from BA. Took 10 months including taking them to court twice.

Disgraceful behaviour.
Well done for seeing it through.

Surprisingly after the e-mail i got from Wizz on 11th April saying payment would take 14-20 days, i received the payment on 14th. Having used Turkish Airlines, or rather AnadoluJet, we have found them almost absolutely faultless from beginning to end, with the only criticism being that on the last leg from Istanbul to Stansted they only had a Ham and Cheese roll and the other M in MnM is a Veggie. Odd they should serve Ham given that they don't serve alcohol, unless religious grounds have nothing to do with it.

Possibly 'Turkey Ham'

Probably turkey ham. I stand to be corrected but given Wizz Air is Hungarian... I think that and the lack of alcohol IST to UK is tempered by the customer base on those flights. All airlines do the same tbh. They don’t onload stuff they don’t need.

Nc i was talking about AnadoluJet in my last post regarding the Ham and Cheese Roll. Oddly enough Pegasus serve alcohol, or used to anyway.
