Turkcell Price increases

Sorry, here I am again moaning about prices.
My wifes Turkcell contract is up for renewal, it's gone from 119tl to 319tl, but they have been good enough to say she can have it for 279tl for the first six months.
That is an increase on the lower price of 134%
We are lucky enough to have a Landline and my charge on that is a fraction of what they want.
Anyway, can anyone suggest a better package with another provider?
Also, can you take your existing number to another provider?

Our Türkcell contract price rose to 241.38TL. Perhaps look at your usage needs and trim back as necessary. 319TL pcm seems a lot, especially as you have a land line and presumably a separate home internet package.

Have a look at
https://www.kktctelsim.com/en/ to compare prices as to your package with Turkcell. You can port your number to Telsim if you so wish.
As A1 said, have a look at reducing your package. I only have a data package, as almost all calls are done on Whatsapp and don't need SMS. Think I am around 144 TL for 10 Gb, although suspect it will be increased at renewal time.

Is it just me being silly or has the World gone mad? My last monthly contract bill from my UK supplier was £32.50, which of course included the payments (theft) for the phone handset itself. Judged against and approximate 320TL for my monthly contract bill here (£13.20) and even through I have already purchased my own phone handset, I think mobile phone charges here are very acceptable.
More so when I consider that my last UK provider contract bill was in May 2007!!! I am assuming that it will have gone up a tad since then??

Sssshhhh Waddo, they'll be really hiking prices if they read your post.

I don't think prices here are too bad either.

I pay £9.31 a month in the UK for unlimited minutes and texts, 20gb data and can use my plan in the EU. This is with Virgin Mobile.

Comparatively speaking:
Lebara (UK)
We pay 5p for 3GB data/unlimited mins/calls EU roaming for 6 months then revert to £4.90
However new sim just purchased will activate when old deal runs out and then pay 49p for same deal another 6 mths
(5GB = 99p)
(12GB data) = £1.99pm, Unlt min/text, EU roaming - Price for first 6 months @
MSE / Lebara

Can you use your Lebara deal
for free here in the TRNC? If not, what does it cost you to use your UK phone SIM here in the TRNC?

It is not a comparison to UK prices, it's all about the percentage increase. It's like all price increases here it's huge profetering here as there is little or no competition.
It starts at the very top and goes down the chain.

My point about Lebara deal was that UK is significantly cheaper. Turkcell is expensive imho, not sure about telsim but must take a look

Here is not the UK, or europe.
Can you use your Lebara deal here? Is so, at what cost, calls and data charged to you by Lebara?
Türkcell and Telsim foot the cost of their networks here. Their users share the costs of network infrastructure, development and running costs.
There are more people in Bromley, Kent that there are in all of the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus.
Under the circumstances and with such a small customer base l think there are reasonably cheap pay monthly packages to be had with Türkcell and with Telsim. And, with some Türkcell packages, you can use your local SIM abroad.
