Help needed with Amazon Echo

We use WIFI for our firestick, an HP printer, our laptop, 2 kindles and an Amazon Echo and never had a problem with our 'Netgear' router.
We did move last year from Dipkarpaz to Famagusta, but stayed with the same WIFI supplier - Broadmax - and had no problem.
Unfortunately, recently our 'Netgear' router's transformer plug seemed to overheat a lot and we decided it might be a problem. We had another router - a TP LINK , which we had not used since leaving Dipkarpaz.
I connected it and it worked fine, but I had no password. Broadmax came and sorted it and everything worked fine except the Amazon Echo. When I initially installed it in 2018 I do not remember using an android app. I certainly had a new phone in that time.
Now I don't seem to be able to achieve a connection! I tried to download the app onto my laptop, onto my phone, but no success. Alexa still keeps telling me, i must go to the app etc................. I got a manual, but still..............................no success!
I did not think I was so bad with internet issues, but I am defeated (:"() (:"() (:"()
Can somebody come and help me , I am happy to pay. Broadmax were not able to help.
We live in Famagusta in the old walled city. pm me for contact details!!!!

When we had a setup by network providers, they plugged both input from reciever on roof AND output into LAN sockets in the router (Yellow Sockets), Result was that Echo did not work.
Then by plugging the input from the reciver on the roof into the WAN (Blue socket) it worked.

Try it and let me know Mike

I will ask the Broadmax man and see what he has to say,
the thing I find curious is why my Alexa in the Firestick works???

No My fault, poorly written , the cable from the roof plugs into the blue socket in the router. YOU do NOT go on the roof.

Well....I glad we don't need to do the roof!! But changing to the blue socket was not good either. The internet did not work at all! I don't know what the ustas have done, I will call them!!
