From what I have read the Greeks Cypriots have not been imposing the sanctions and are now paying the consequences . Having likely have had time to mitigate the effects by not dealing with the Russians . They have been raking it in for years laundering russian money and sheltering it . It's been easy money .

It is what it is really they need to belt up in my opinion having enriched themselves from it now playing the victim. Unbelievable really they should never have been allowed in the EU .

The Greek speaking Cypriots are having a rough time then? Not only sanctions but now Greece have only given them 4 points in the Eurovision Song Contest there is talk of Greece stepping away from Cyprus. Even though they claim that Greece is their Motherland there seems to be much dissention amongst the Greek Speaking Cypriots and fear that they will have to stand alone within the EU. Cyprus Mail gave a good report on it and I was quite surprised that it even included the topic in the paper. Times are changing........
