susiesusie is that true that we can't go from the South even though we can f!y from Republic of Cyprus airports to UK?

You can certainly go on a cruise from the South. However, the fun begins if you live in the North. The 90/180 rule will apply, so unless you leave via the South again within that timeframe you haven’t technically left and stand the risk of being fined for overstaying next time you cross.
You pays your money, you takes your chance.

I live in the north... So my understanding is that I can't leave any south port as I'm already over the 90 day rule as I came in the north January. If they did let me pass then I'm sure the abuse level by the officials would be high and then put on the no fly blacklist for 5 years
Seems farcical to me

I think they’d allow you to leave but you’d be fined for overstaying.

Yeah but, the duration of the cruise is 6,7 or 8 nights so surely if you return within your 90 days you'll be ok?
I would assume that returning from the cruise the border would crossed back into the TRNC as per normal?

But when you return into Limassol then unless you leave the island again, via the South, the clock is still ticking. Crossing into TRNC does not stop that.
I seem to remember someone on here being refused crossing to go shopping and told not to try for another x months.
It’s as clear as mud and probably depends on official on the day. Of course, if you don’t live here it’s another can of worms!

Yes but if you've come from the North after disembarking at Limassol you'll then come to the border and cross as per normal. You will have entered the Republic, left the Republic then the reverse so no problems.

My understanding is that you cannot leave the hard border which is the airport's or the sea port in the south because you are from an illegal place (north) as they don't have any record of you coming in . You could of course leave from ercan then re enter in the south then you have 90 days legally. But what a pain and cost . Then unless you left again you would break the rules and get a 5 year ban! Ridiculous situation. Forget it !!

Medjoul - the RoC authorities do not recognise crossing the Green Line as leaving the RoC.
I don’t know how else to explain it so I’m out.
