New TV any recommendations l?

Morning all, want to replace our aging 17-year-old plasma tv, does anyone have any recommendations, brand, specification etc on what to look for?

Don’t laugh, but we are swallows and we have the old Nilesat box which is now down to just BBC world so looking to maybe get some decent channels for once.

We don’t want to spend a fortune on all singing, all dancing OLED or similar, just something half decent with a decent picture maybe 55 inch in size. Saw a 55” ‘Stilevs’ brand in Shoptimum yesterday for 9700 TL which didn’t seem bad, but before we start looking around elsewhere, wonder if anyone has any recommendations. Appreciate that we would probably need a fire stick or something similar to plug into it in order to get UK channels. Also to be able to cast YouTube from my phone would be useful.

TIA

We bought one this week from Esentepe Home Store - cost 7,000 TL - it is a Turkish brand (Icon I think) but the picture is good and comes with a 2 year guarantee.

We were in the same position last month. Went to the Samsung shop in kyrenia & bought a qled TV. The picture is outstanding. The guy in the shop is really helpful and give us a good discount. Then called yen for a firestick.

Samsung's are fantastic, have a 65inch 4 or 6k, but you are then looking at £1000 plus!

Well I bought mine from digiturk.and am paying over 12 months . I don't as a rule by on the never never but my idea was that the TL would depreciate and I would be quids in (pardon the pun). You need a digiturk subscription.

It's gone pretty well so far ...

Did the same with my new phone at turkcell..

😂😀😂

Thanks, I'll go and see if they deal with LECLA brand stuff - I've got two LECLA TV's that I bought from elsewhere a long time ago, and one of them has developed a heat-related problem which has, so far, defeated my fault-finding skills.

Hair Cut, got IPTV, just thought I would ask, thanks. Can get F1 TV but need a Turkish Bank (Not Turk Bank) credit card so that is the next step.
