As a swallow with my pension being paid in GBP, I repeatedly think how wonderfully cheap my kibtek/beli emlak/water/etc cost are - my last visit (Apr/May 35 days), kibtek TL550.55 (~£50.05) while my UK electric bill WHILE I WAS AWAY for for the same period was heading toward £250..... Just for running the fridge, freezer and ISP/STB...... (Yes, I keep an eagle eye on my meter readings and submit them regularly..)
In TRNC, food, clothes, dining out (? - don't do much home OR away) - definitely cheaper AGAINST UK even when taking note of (volatile) rate of exchange.
So while everything is "rocketing", how much is it "rocketing" in GBP...?

If you are paid on GBP the price has not changed much.
For the last few months the price has been 1,250 tl / 24 = £ 52
Today the price is 1,500 tl / 29.5 =£ 50.85
