After a relative passed away recently, we decided to take her tortoise there. When we arrived, there was a heavy-duty chain across the entrance. Thinking the place was closed, we telephoned the number given ... and were told to remove the chain and drive to 200 or so metres to the admin building. At the admin building we were met by someone, and handed over the tortoise. We were asked to put the chain back in place on leaving the compound ... which of course we did.

So, to answer your question, it's not a place you can just visit and wander around.

Thanks for the information, as we don’t use FB it is difficult to get information at times. Will give the number a ring and see what else I can find out.

Starting July 1st the Fri/Cts/Pzr night picnic will be open until 12 for the summer!
We are also open till 12 midnight throughout the Festive period!

I think they only do guided tours if it’s the area where all the animals are cared for. As far as I know you can’t just turn up wander round on your own.
