Anyone know where I can get the green 1.2v batteries for solar lights? I assume normal AA rechargeable ones which are 1.5v won't work??

make sure you use the same technology, as, eg, Ni-MH. otherwise the charging from solar will not work.
in general i would say that the slightly higher voltage is no problem, but it can be that the internal charger can not work properly = the batteries can not be charged to "completely full".

also because of that, capacity in mAh should be larger as the old ones.

yeah, You're correct.. standard AA rechargeable batteries are typically 1.2 volts and are commonly used in solar lights. They are designed to work with solar lighting systems.
