So I went to Turkey c 1 month ago . Parked at new eran.

It was very cheap. I can't remember but thinking that was cheap. I parked 10 days .

Just came back from another trip .
4 days 760 tl. From memory about the same .

Maybe they made a mistake on the first stay

We paid 840TL for 14 days parking 60 per day

Yes that was what I thought .the price has just rocketed or it's heavily charged for the first few days

I should have asked for a breakdown I suppose .

Reading on Facebook that the price has recently increased to 200TL for first day and 150TL per day thereafter.

Sounds about right. We flew out Wednesday morning 10am then came back Sunday 8 am. 760 tl.

CAR PARKING FEES IN ERCAN ARE STUNNING

The prices in the Ercan Airport parking lot are astounding.

A citizen rebelled against the parking fee of 300 TL per day with the following words.

“Do you want to leave your car in the parking lot at Ercan Airport? Most of our people do not know these prices. You pay 300 ₺ on the first day and 150 ₺ on subsequent days. (I was very angry when I paid 1100 ₺.) T&T Ercan Airport Management rented this parking lot to Ülküay company for 10 years.”

Good news for taxis though...

Thnx mine must have been 750 tl ..5 days.well four and a bit .so it is 300 tl after 24 hours but that covers the first 2 days ..so effectively 150 tl per day .

It is what it is .good info thnx people can ponder a taxi or lift I'm going UK in Feb 14 days so will have a think about options .

Do you need to pre book the parking at the new airport?
I've always parked at the offsite parking area opposite the old airport previously. Does anyone know if that is still in operation and whether they offer a transfer service?

We have just arrived home from the airport 20 minutes ago, 11 days, 2.200 TL , eye watering amount. We called at the offsite one when leaving on the off chance it was open, there were quite a few cars there but we couldn't find anybody? When we passed an hour ago there were plenty of lights on and a lot of cars.

In addition, they seemed to have changed the cafe suppliers, it used to be Gloria Jeans not now. They wanted 195 TL for a small coffee, outrageous price, we sat and watched in 90 minutes not one person ordered a coffee.

The only thing I can think of is when you go into the car park the system takes your vehicle number automatically, when you get to the pay box when leaving the person types something into a small machine, shows it to you with the amount on, you pay. I have to say, we worked it out and it came to more than we were expecting? We only saw the price list on this thread when we got home. If its a fiddle by the operator then not sure how that works? We paid by credit card.

Mollie the cat. We returned yesterday having left our car at Ercan airport. It cost 3600 tl for 18 days. This works out the same as yours @ 200 tl day!

Only in your opinion, you can use it then.

I am goingto uK end of Feb until March 14 days coct will be 300Tl first day and 13 x 200 = 2600Tl TOTAL = 2900 or 76GBP.

They can keep their car park I will take a taxi.

Gone are the good old days when it was free. Paid 600tl for 3 days. Won't be using again in a hurry.

It's chaos there now due to increase in parking charges, I prefer the old terminal

I asked last week they said 45 euro...!

You couldnt find an undercover space the last 2 times I parked there ....good luck with that !!

I couldn't find covered parking either. Wouldn't be surprised if staff are getting free or subsidised parking.

Can I ask about picking people up. Not been to the New Ercan yet.

With the old site used to wait on the main road till the people came out and picked them up, no need to go into the car park. How would this work at the new site, anyone know or tied it?

There is an Arrivals Exit door at front of building, similar to old airport. People wait for arrivals there, outside.

There are often a huge amount of vehicles parked outside and adjacent to the Arrivals door - I find it best to wait on the road before you get to Arrivals and get your passenger to give you a phone call once they are ready to emerge, then pull forward so that they can see your car - otherwise you are liable to be moved on by the Zabıta!
