Visit the TA office in Lefkoşia and speak to a human face to face rather than use the phone.
We’ve always found them most helpful (and we use the same route as you - DUB-IST-ECN)

Alternatively when I had to make a flight change with them recently using the phone line was very easy and very helpful, you should also be able to change the flight online using your reservation code.

The number you want is +90 850 333 0849

When this is happened to me in the past, several times with TA, I worked out which alternative flights suit me and called the TA UK reservations number using Skype. If you have a Miles & Smiles number you can input it at the start of the call and will ensure you get dealt with much quicker. Tell them the flights you would like to travel on and they should be able to rebook you for no extra charge, after all they cancelled your original choice.
The number I've used is +442039911993

My son and family have just booked in at Heathrow and has been told the party will be split on the flight from IST-ECN even though he has paid extra for legroom seats. He has told check-in that he will give the odd boarding card to his 2 1/2 tear old son and they can look after him, and he will. £332 per seat and that's what they do to you.

(:Z)( Good for him! I hope he does exactly that.

Friday night - they are more concerned about accommodating the gamblers coming to casinos for the weekend. Disgraceful behaviour but it’s not new. I used to have to fly in, after work, on a Friday night. Never again through choice. By the time I had battled my way through the casino ‘hostesses’ I had lost the will to live.

There are three options when you book. We choose "extra fly" which costs about £15 extra each flight but allows a 23kg suitcase and to choose your seats at booking time

Thanks for the warning of Friday flight Nc2016. Had been looking at booking flights and Wed/Fri are the best times for my flights...will make sure it is Wednesday now.

MVP, that doesn't stop them changing your seats. They have done it on my last two trips, and on one trip there wasn't even a seat on the plane with my seat number!

Alphamike - the rule of thumb is, in my experience, do not fly INTO Ercan on Friday nor OUT on a Sunday.

If you read my post that is what he had done, paid extra to book certain seats, but it made no difference....

I hope that, at the very least, they get a refund for any charges for seats. I used the feedback section on their website to get vouchers for my children when they had to cancel flights due to being in quarantine here during COVID.
