Can any recent traveller out there please update me on what are the rules now for taking liquids pastes aerosols etc in your hand luggage?
THROUGH ERCAN AIRPORT
Is it anything under 100ml in one large clear plastic bag?
This is the general rule worldwide I believe.
Has anyone out there done this recently ie since covid?
Thanks in advance!

Per passenger, maximum 100ml per bottle in a plastic bag, maximum of 4 bottles. Bottles include deodorant, make-up etc.

Its about as up to date as it can be as we only went through a week ago. For the record i only had 100ml bottle of hand sanitiser, the wife had 400ml of nail varnish, make up remover, perfume and mini hair spray

We flew out of the new Ercan airport last week. Nothing over 100ml in our luggage. A person in front had 2 x 500ml water bottles one in each side of their rucksack and went through air side security scanners. We were waiting for them to be taken away but no, not picked up! Seems the rules are not strictly adhered to.

If you're flying onwards you will get a more thorough check in Istanbul.
I have seen people heartbroken when their duty free not in a sealed bag is confiscated
