Hi, I'm a writer who has visited north Cyprus a number of times and now I would like to set a story there. I'd like to ask for some information please?

What is the art scene like around the Famagusta (new town) and Kyrenia area? Are there many artists? Art galleries? Is there an art community in evidence? Any tales to tell about these?

I'm not able to come and visit which is why I'm posting here.

There is a lady living in the Girne area called Heidi Trautmann. She is an artist and is involved in many art type projects. I don’t know how to contact her but hopefully someone will know. There are art galleries in many places in North Cyprus. They hold exhibitions frequently. Also the village festivals have local artists displaying their art.
