They better open another two crossing points then or the traffic will be backed up to Limasol - lol. No MacDonnalds so not interested. Set in my ways I guess - lol.

More shops! What are they doing about all the empty ones everywhere? Well got priorities right, forget about the lack of a regular electricity supply
and infrastructure .

That's an ad to sell the land ..giving outline planning permission is 1 thing ...they haven't even got a buyer ..
If it was the actual developer getting approval that's a different scenario...this is the owner of the land looking to flog it ...

"Planning Permission" does it not mean "Brown Envelope" has been handed over ?

Can't see why they wouldnt wAnt to give planning it's attracting a developer in to pump the money in is the problem ..the small mall in Famagusta is not busy and has had Empty shops many that come and go ..

For the record, if the land in question is indeed close to the Girne-Lefkoşa road, then it is almost certainly
not "eşdeğer" (ie "exchanged") land - As you can see from the map below, a large swathe of land from Boğaz to Lefkoşa has been Turkish Cypriot since Ottoman times.
