Koop milk has gone up from 31.5 to 41.5
Just looks like profiteering to me

Well, they've got to pay for that new min wage somehow, and we all knew that everything would be going up in price as a result.

Yes but the point is the price has gone up over 30 % and labour costs are only a part input to the price of milk.

Was an article in the KIBRIS Post today saying shops are already putting prices up before people actually get their new minimum wage. Some of this will be genuine as they have to pay their workers more, some is going to be just chancing it frankly. Vote with your feet is all you can say for those shops/restaurants' that are going to exploit it!
Also don't forget, the new minimum wage does not apply to 'government workers' as the same article said on average they get 8500 TL a month above the minimum! You will also find that many smaller private employers won't be able to pay the new minimum wage as well; increasing their prices = probably means going out of business!
