Is it right that now you have to show your permission to purchase for it

It's always been the case that if you are applying under the immovable property category you must either provide a copy of your Kocan or your contract of sale plus the paper with your permission to purchase number and an official stamp on it.

Not actually accurate. The PTP number has only been required for the last few years.

But why do they need that if you already own a property. Surely they must know you had to have to buy that property

Kirk, I could be reading this wrong, but I think it means that they would only need the Sales Contract and PTP number if you didn't have the Koçan in your name.

No You now need both. Nightmare yesterday. Went to Nicosia found place they gave me this little strap of paper samped with no on it. I said what this for. Take that to Magusa deeds office. Went there after que at 3 different places. We can’t help have to go back Nicosia. Off we go. Wait for open after dinner to be told we can’t give you copies. I said I need for residency she said that’s what you need . So I had the paperwork all the time that scrap of paper. Only need it for the wife. What a palaver
