In the early hours of yesterday morning 40-year-old Veleddin Hüdan (shown below) died of a heart attack in his house in Bellapais. According to
http://www.gundemkibris.com/hicbir-sagl ... 49917h.htm he was a well-known businessman in Girne and a much-loved individual. He was married with two children aged 13 and 14. Apparently he had been in fine health up until yesterday morning. He is being buried in Çatalköy Cemetery at about this time.

I didn't know him nor his family, however, sincere condolences to his friends and family for their loss.

Wow. the poor family. Guess he must have had a congenital heart condition undiagnosed. Whatever it was, it must have been a terrible shock to the family. Or is there more to it as to how he died. Tragic loss.
Thanks Ina for posting this. Not sure I know him as the photo is too small for me to really see, but it certainly makes one realise how important each day is.
Condolences to the family. Very sad indeed.

In this photo from a different news website you can see his face. I presume he is pictured with his daughter. By the way, it writes "he died in his son's arms"

How sad, what a rotton start to the New Year for his family.

Poor man - no age at all. Reminds me of my dad who was 47 when he died suddenly. It's such a shock to the family.

I am so sorry for this family. No time for goodbyes. It will take them forever to cope with this as I well know when it happened to my husband without warning, we were just talking quietly and his life ended like a light switch being turned off, no pain, no fear, no nothing as if he did not even feel anything. That is so difficult. May he rest in peace and may his family find some comfort in each other.

Thanks Ian for helping my ailing, failing eyesight. He does look familiar indeed.
I agree with Sue....... , that it will take a long time for the family to come to terms with it all, especially the son who must have felt 'useless' as his father's life slipped away .
But life goes on, as many know , and good things can happen - I hope that it does for this family, all in good time. wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all actually DO something to ease their pain, so do hope that they read all about the concern expressed by KibKomers, and no doubt on other fora.
