Yet another residency query.

My residency renewal is due later this year and have just received wedding invitation for a week later in UK. I come under Famagusta region, which hopefully is nowhere near as bad for waiting for police appointment as Girne. 2 years ago, it was a week, so am hoping that it's not changed that much.
Bottom line is, what's the deal with going abroad for both scenarios, as in before police appointment, if it's delayed by weeks, and after police appointment if it's quite quick after applying with the usual 21 days before renewal date? Any help would be much appreciated.

There is a good guide by the foreign residents https://www.infonorthcyprus.com/temporary-residency

I've copied it from the above website

Timescales for Girne appointments may be optimistic.

I applied for my renewal last month (Famagusta) and police appointment was one week later.

Thanks so much Nc2016 for confirming state of play in Famagusta. Very pleased to hear that.

No problem AM. Last year my appointment was in April so I was expecting that again.

If in the event someone chanced their arm and went to say Guzeliott (?) when they should have gone to Girne, would they receive a huge heave-oh immediately. Not for me I might add, I haven't the nerve!!

I think it would be the old heave ho BB. Years ago I asked if I could do mine at Iskele, which is nearer to me than Famagusta. I still have to go to Famagusta, albeit that is obviously better than the waiting list at Girne, but not without it's challenges at times.
Due to hearing about other people's problems, I will be going with reams of bank statements and utility bills. I've still got 4 months to go, so no doubt something else will crop up before then to help Immigration fill up more files with paperwork.
