19lt water bottles out of date

Just back from shop where I get my water bottles from . They say my bottles are out of date and they won't exchange them. They say I can go to the factory and get them changed there. No idea where that is. The shop supplied them to me less than 10 days ago!! I cannot understand their logic..just take them off me and replace them. When they get returned to the factory then just do what you have to. . The logic here is just beyond belief.

susiesusie. this happened to me a few years back when they at long last got to grips with old and dangerous bottles. the bottle i returned for exchange to the supermarket which i always use said the bottle was out of date. it was by years despite the fact they supplied it to me only days earlier. clearly they dont check the dates on the bottles supplied to them.

We were told this and stood our ground. The English speaking manager came over , low and behold they agreed to exchange them.

The crazy thing is that the dates are on the bottom of the bottle, kind of hard to check when the bottle is full...we do try after being caught out a few years ago. Exactly the same scenario as above, bought a week or 2 earlier then the shop refused to take them back, we managed to get them exchanged at a different shop.

It is doubly annoying if you have recently paid for an extra bottle, then they palm an old bottle off on you in exchange & subsequently TRY to refuse it :)

Although I do admit that I rather enjoy standing my ground until they cave in :) :) :)
