Switched TV on this morning and I seem to have gained 5 more channels. One channel seems to need a PIN.
Does anyone know if PINs are being issued?

What is the point in adding channels when they are unable to get the existing ones to function properly? As usual with things out here the priorities ae all wrong.

I think that NTV are trying to add more channels to make the package more attractive whilst striving to improve the system at the same time. Nothing wrong with that.

Technical issues with the NTV system is now fixed.

The reason we are having issues with some of the channels over the past few days is because Sky has started moving some of their channels off of the current satellite so they are either too weak or not at all available from Cyprus. Everytime this happens, we have to reshuffle all our channel feeds between our Cyprus, UK and Netherlands Earth Stations, which is not an easy task. Nobody knows for sure how many channels will eventually be moved and by when, which makes it even more difficult to stay adept to it. Speculations are such that changed by Sky should finalize very soon, and things will stabilize.

You should realize that currently for Sky users in Cyprus, all of 1.8m dish holders(1000+ users) and most of 4.2m dish holders have lost important channels like Channel 4, Sky Sports etc. and for them, these channels will not come back at all. For NTV, this only means a few glitches with some channels while we are adopting to changes and all should be back to normal when things are in order.

In the meantime, we have upgraded our systems an while we are working on adopting our systems to Sky changes, there is nothing that prevents us from adding a few more channels.
So muffin's 'As usual with things out here the priorities are all wrong' comment is not only rude and unjustified, it is also wrong logic.

As always, we work very hard to deliver better than expected service to our customer, we always stand behind our product and never take money on a product that we are not happy ourselves. Just for this reason we have been providing NTV service at no cost to our customers for the past 2.5 months and this will continue to be our attitude in business 'unlike the usual things our here'

Cheers.

Vaughan, We are now testing channels with PINs, we will be providing the keys for such channels to our customers via email/sms (not yet decided how) once testing is concluded.

I beg to differ with Multimax regarding my recent comment. We have been with Multimax since the beginning of September and have yet to experience an evening of interference free viewing. On Wednesday evening there was interference of some sort on every channel we tried to watch. So, yes, my comment is totally justified.

Multimax keep fobbing us off with assurances that all the problems will shortly be resolved - the latest was by the 1st of February. We wait to see if some miracle occurs tomorrow!!!!!

muffin, please email info@multimaxcyprus.com with your name so we can make sure your issues are not connection related (as opposed to NTV related). I realize that you probably did contact us before regarding this, but if you can give us an head's up about your identity, we make sure the miracle does happen by tomorrow.

By the way, according to an online dictionary fobbing off means 'To dispose of (goods) by fraud or deception'. We are a company proud to be always upfront with our customers and always share information, good AND bad things happening with our services. Just because we were ourselves not happy with the service we were providing as NTV, we have sent out emails explaining the situation and also NOT charge you for the period until issues are reasonably sorted. All our NTV customers are not being charged for the past 2.5 months because of this. how is this fraud?

Not possible to make everybody happy, no matter how hard we work... I guess...

I was watching NTV on Wednesday evening and noticed no such interference on any channel.

We understand that interferance is dependant upon which basr station serves your particular area. We must just be unlucky with the base station serving our area to get so much interferance

was this our response to you?

Out of thousands of customers connected to more than 120 basestations all over island, our recent estimations suggest that approx 80% of our customers should be getting more then their advertised speeds, about 25% should be getting close to their advertising speeds and only 5% is struggling for service for various reasons. We work hard to eliminate any and all problems but sometimes it may not be in our power.

@muffin, I like to be more personally involve in your case, can you please send me an email at kbasat@multimaxcyprus.com or PM me here in regard to who/what you have spoken with us recently, and I will also do a mini investigation.
