It sounds like a free service for Tourism Harbour area only, next to castle. This looks like the politicians exaggeration of the actual service being provided. 5 Access points barely covers harbour itself which is mostly open air.

In order to cover the city of Kyrenia, you need approx 1000 Access Points, more or less one on each Electric/Telephone pole

Dont get me wrong, free internet is always good, and whoever is providing it in the area, is doing a good job, it just isnt what it says on the title.

According to http://www.gundemkibris.com/girne-beled ... 50074h.htm Girne Belediyesi hope to provide free access in the following places :
- the harbour
- in and around the belediye building
- in the municipality's Baldöken Carpark
- in Barış Parkı
- in and around Ramazan Cemil Square

Actually if you read the article in lgc news..that's where they plan to start.

Then they plan to roll it out across the whole town.

You can get WiFi in the square near to the car park (where all the open air cafes are).
Alternatively, some of the resturants at the harbour have a strong enough signal to use.

All very civilised.
