I almost bought one today, then i saw it was TL4.00. When did it go up to that?

It seemed very thin. It was a shame as on the front page it said there was an update on Ismail on page 3.

It has been this price for at least 3 months.
Never bought it since the day it went up just not worth that price for reading about peoples parties and seeing the same horrible photos.
Also most international news that appeared in CT is found quite easily daily on the internet.
There are several people like iancrumpy who take the time and effort to seek out and translate all the relevant local news from local Turkish language papers on line making it a more appropriate source of local news not ex pat news.

Thanks for that CyprusisHome, but the second term (in China) will be starting soon ... and I won't have so much time on my hands. You might like to check out the Lemon Grove news web-site:

Well if any one does get Cyprus today and can scan the article about Ismail on the third page would appreciate it.

When I came here in 2005 it was 2tl for the then Saturday only edition and I never missed a copy. Now it is 8tl (300% increase in 7 years) for the 2 editions and it just isn't worth it. Personally I never saw the point of the midweek edition, and if they went back to Saturday only I would probably start buying it again.

I agree that there really is no need for a mid week edition. Bought it when it first came out but not any more.
Also agree about the social scene photos in the Saturday edition. We play a game here about who will get their grinning faces in at a social event three weeks on the run.
Sadly it also now seems that Cyprus Today is reporting on more serious criminal acts which in the past would have been unheard of here.
A very sad sign of the times .

If it was left to me we most certainly wouldn't buy the Wednesday edition, I think it's a dreadful waste of 4tl, but himindoors insists on buying them both and we musn't mock the afflicted!!
