I have recently received an email purporting to come HM government tax office regarding a tax rebate for years 2023-2024. Its clearly fake because it has a Turkish email address, with tr at the end, a Turkish name and wishes good will at the end (from the tax office!!!!) I'd like to report it and send to someone, but don't know who. If not, how can I block it. Its come through twice and I don't want anymore.

Also (assuming you're using Outlook), if you right click the e-mail in your Inbox without opening it, a box of options will pop up. Look for "Junk" near the bottom. Hover your mouse on "Junk" then move mouse to the next box on the right and left click "Block sender". This only considers the first part of the senders e-mail address though, so, in some cases it will block further e-mails, however you'll still need to go into your Junk folder and delete them from there.

Given that the first part of the e-mail address they come from changes each time they go out, you'll probably still get e-mails from the same source and probably about the same subject, so it may be easier just to delete in the first place (without opening) if you're sure it is junk.

Unfortunately, several yeas ago when Windows 11 came out, Microsoft removed 2 very handy options from Outlook. One was to right click an e-mail then click on Options which revealed the senders e-mail address and the other was in the Junk options to "Block senders Domain" which blocked everything from that Domain.

Oh yes its fake all right. I can't see GOV.ORG asking for details so that can send me my tax rebate for 23 -24. They have everything I need, especially as the address is from Turkey. The other a month later is to let me know about how to claim my USUAL winter fuel allowance which I have never had in my life.
