If memory serves, a good few months ago, possibly 2023 there was advice on what to do, if you wanted to be involved. Then suddenly the subject was dropped and I've heard no more. Just out of curiosity I was wondering if anyone chose to participate.

Oh good grief I'm fully aware of that!!! However I think it was the BRS who sent out a whole load of bumf (probably your link or similar) about what you could do to enable you to vote, if and when the time came. Was just wondering if anyone had bothered. If I was in the UK, even at this late stage I think I would still be a Don't Know!!! First time in my life and a shock to the system.

I would vote for "Fixit" but that is never out there so I never bother.

It’s quite interesting in that last time we had a choice of 2 very polarising figures in Johnson and Corbyn whereas this time we have 2 very bland non-entities who are very difficult to summon up any enthusiasm about. A very beige choice

The majority of British MP's are inept corrupt self-serving megalomaniacs, not so different to those that represent the people of Cyprus, though the latter had very good training from 1925 to 1960's by their 'Masters' to take it to yet an another euphoric level!

The election is UK wide not just British.

A bus load of politicians was traveling down a country road when, all of a sudden, the bus ran off the road and crashed into a tree in an old farmer's field.

Ho Ho Ho. All I asked was if anyone had bothered during the last 6 months or whatever, to jump through the hoops too enable them to take part in the Elections. Don't know why I asked now, just curious.

Never have voted since we moved here, neither would I care to.

I haven't voted either. However the older I get and the longer I live here ,Pensions (state and private) come up in our discussions, as do taxes. i.e NHS which I don't use, Schools and Universities which are not applicable to our family any longer, roads and pit holes, which I don't drive on, all the benefits and handouts (to those who deserve them and the tens of thousands who don't deserve them), freebees and handouts to illegals, not forgetting Brexit. I could go on but can't be bothered. So which party (evan the Monster Looney ) gets in has relevance.

I applied to vote by proxy about a month ago and my brother received the paperwork in England a few days ago.
