How to call an ambulance

I have had to call for 2 ambulances in less than a month and quite a few in the last few years. It occurred to me that not many people are familiar with doing it and it's always a bit of a panic at the time. I've written what I needed to do and hope it might help someone else in the same position.
How to call a state hospital ambulance in TRNC
Dial 112
You may need to ask for an English speaker
Tell them the village/town and approximate location using landmarks such as shops, restaurants, etc nearby, where possible.
They will most likely ask you to send your location to the ambulance mobile or WhatsApp number
Send your location by text message by starting a new chat, entering the recipient's number, tap the '+' icon in the chat window, select 'Maps,' then 'Send this location' or it may just come up as 'location'. Forward it by clicking the send arrow.
Send your location via WhatsApp by opening up a chat with the recipient's number, click the paperclip on the message line then select the location icon then click 'send your current location'
You may want to familiarise yourself with the above by sending your location to a friend.
Please note that only the patient (and passport) is allowed in the ambulance, anyone wishing to go to the hospital will have to get there by their own transport. The ambulance may be redirected to a different state hospital.
