** NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC **
Preparing for the Biggest Investment in KIB-TEK History! $80 million investment!
As KIB-TEK, efforts are carried out to complete them as soon as possible by tackling the works that have not been handled, undermined and not done over the years.
At first, a tender was concluded and a contract was signed for the removal of Chlorine Gases and Tubes, which have never been addressed before, have been abandoned for many years and which pose a great risk to Public health. With the abolition of Chlorine Gases and Tubes according to the agreement, this risk that our people have been exposed to for years will be eliminated.
Regarding the energy production that our country needs, we have acquired 2 50MW Mobile Trailers to our Technical Power Plant in a short period of time. In addition to that, the 17.5MW Diesel Machine 8 which has been abandoned due to malfunctioning for 4 years has been repaired and it is planned to be commissioned within a week.
Again 2 units were auctioned for the supply of Generators with a capacity of about 40MW, but no bid was given. KIB-TEK Considering the increasing need for energy, it has been decided to supply a Generator with 80 MW instead of 40 MW capacity in its history and the tender process has been started.
In addition, very serious work has been carried out together with E akA ım to make all our power plants work more efficiently. These periodic maintenances have been carried out by the EUA E and will continue to be done.
Recently, the contaminated fuel (slac) that has been accumulated under the tanks that are thought to have caused the failure of Diesel Machines has been drawn to the Slac Tank Tender in order to prevent it from accumulating in the main tanks, the contract has been signed and the construction of the tanks has been started.
These fuel tanks need to be maintained once every 5 years, the slugs in these tanks should be inspected, the transportation of the machines during the daily discharge of fuel from the main tank to the daily tanks should be prevented, knowingly or unknowingly, to not give any reason for these machines to malfunction. As a precaution in this regard, it was decided to remove the spare parts of all tanks and accordingly maintain the existing tanks.
Also with all the fuel bought. Tests and analyzes are conducted at loading ports and then analyzes of the fuel samples taken before discharging at Teknecik are also conducted in independent laboratories. Keza KKTC Ministry of Economy and Energy na connect with the Fuel Department all results are available.
We have taken initiative and taken responsibility to tackle all the points that have been ignored over the years and prevented the continuity of this system, produced the necessary decisions, initiated the tender processes and necessary procedures.
Considering that energy investments are not completed in a short term, the positive results of the decisions we have taken and the investments we have made as KIB-TEK with the advice and support of Mr. Prime Minister vadnal larımstel will be seen by our people during the process.
