Hi all,
Apologies if this has been asked recently.
My question is does anyone know the rough cost of a data SIM card that could be used in WiFi dongle gadget? Is it still possible to buy them at Lemar in Karakum?

Why do you need a dongle? You can hot-spot from a smart phone. I believe you can no longer buy sims from shops, has to be directly from Turkcell, Telsim. This was what I was told by my local General store.

Agree Soner, even a shop that sells nothing but mobiles couldn't sell one to me. Even my local Turkcell outlet could't sell me one. Told me I had to go to the two large shops in Girne.

On a similar note, I'll be in country for up to 3 months...is it worth buying a local sim card to add to my UK smartphone, or just pay for the extra roaming from my UK provider?

Depending who your UK sim is with 3 months and you'll breach fair use policy or go bankrupt because of their exobetant charges or do both
keep your UK sim nock off roaming and put in an esim Turkey TRNC outside the usual package by UK providers
RoC is Europe TRNC Turkey

Another option which works in 36 European countries including TRNC, ROC and Turkey if you select Europe as your region. You can just select Northern Cyprus and it covers the whole Island.
