Has anyone had one that tastes like a melon this year ?
I've given up buying them, no taste at all.

NO, foul lumps of tasteless rubbish. . They are horrible. There were a couple of TC gentlemen, arguing bitterly with a bloke delivering Water Melons the other day and they were going on about them as well. Not keen on W.M's so I don't buy them in any case.
Any holiday makers (if there are any around) and they are looking forward to eating tasty, fresh Mediterranean fruit and vegetables, must be horribly disappointed.

I had one decent Kavun from Starlin but all the others have been disappointing and usually overripe. I usually grow them but the water supply can be intermittent and miss one day then you lose them so have given up.

There used to be a bloke near SIBA on the main Karaoglanoglu - Alsancak Road There was always a couple of cars buying his melons, but he's gone now after three weeks more or less. He either did a roaring trade and can't keep up with supply, or people not buying.

Maybe people not buying, Türkiye farmers feeling the pinch also and one Farmer giving away his crop of melons.

I'm sure you're correct, but I just thought I'd give him a couple of options.! I notice most of the supermarkets are now cutting water melons into halves or quarters and wrapping in clingfilm.
