Income tax on credit cards

I have 2 credit cards with CW bank with a total monthly credit of 30,000 TL, i only use them for things that i can't pay for with debt card, i have noticed that the last few months i have been charged around 1,600 TL, income tax, which google says it is against income earned in the TRNC, as the only income earned in the TRNC is interest, which tax is paid when due, i don't know what this is for, unless it is a change for the privileged of having a credit card, if so it seams a bit expensive.

Any one have any answers?

The actual description on the credit card statement is "K K T C GELIR VE V 2. TK 3369"

Morning. Re Dave G last post. This one is very interesting and I am sure all CW customers would like to know the exact answer to this one.
Dave. Are you going to go in to the CW branch you are with to get an answer on this one please?
If this is something you do not wish to get involved with I would, with your permission only, send the email to my branch manager asking for an answer that we could all understand.
On the face of it it does not sound good and as you say the tax is taken out monthly.

Forgot to ask. Are there the same charges against Debit cards with CW? Also how do the charges given by Dave G compare with other banks as I am sure if one bank is making this charge other will also. All very interesting.

Gelir ve Vergisi Dairesi is the tax office and 2.taksit shows that the total charge has been taken over 2 months, split evenly which is the norm with CW credit cards and maybe others.

Could this possibly be a car tax charge or similar where the card was used to pay online or in person I wonder?

Looks like SATRANC is correct, there are 4 payments of 1684, 2 payment 1 and 2 payment 2, not sure about the total cost but the dates roughly coinside with the payments for the residency for me and the wife a little later, why they split the bill i don't know, if they had paid it all at once 2 months ago i would not have had the query.

Thanks all
