Am in process of applying for the above on line. A couple of questions about the form. , 1. bearing I no longer have the last car tax form. i.e. it says Issue date of Registration, registration of what?
2) What is the verification code,
In case anyone is interested there is a 4000tl fine for allowing Car Tax to expire. If not paid in 14 days, the fine is doubled. !!!

Date of Registration is the date that the car was first registered to YOU. If you are the first owner, then It will be on the front of the log book, If not it will be inside the logbook on the same line as your name.
You need to use the passport number that you had when you first registered the car in your name. You may need to put a Capital P in front of the number (or not!

) - don't leave a space.
Don't try to enter the date using your keyboard, use the calendar icon - select in this order - Year - Month - Date.
The Verification code consists of the random letters in the space between the box where you enter your passport number & the box where you are asked to enter the Verification code.

I key the date in using the keyboard, be it physical keyboard or on screen keyboard.
Automatically jumps to next date field DD/MM/YYYY

Yes, I see that there is now a message stating that for vehicles registered after Jan 6th 2020 then the date required is the date of first registration.
For vehicles first registered before that, then the date required is the date it was registered to the current owner.
It does make it difficult to give clear instructions

Nope, mine was first registered here as a brand new vehicle in 2012 but I bought it in 2018.

Thanks for that - but it just makes the situation even more confusing, doesn't it?
