Akinlar Fireplace, opposite Kar market, Girne. Take the broken glass with you and they'll cut to size.

Have you tried Paralik in Karakum? They cut glass to size. Ceramic glass seems to be the recommended type.

They've done it for me in the past so it should be OK

Some years ago I bought an Invicta wood stove from Stone Art - expensive but very good. So good was the wood stove that later I had them return and fit a new chimney - double skin outside and single skin inside, can't remember the price but an excellent job. Because they fitted the chimney they will also return and clean the chimney as required, again not cheap but super service and not a speck of dust in the house.
In October I made sure the fire was ready to light when required and checked all the right things, the door seal was starting to wear but, being cheap and from Yorkshire, I thought it should last another year! I lit our first fire three days ago but also noted that the door glass had cracked in two places, it had been fine in October so why it cracked is beyond me.
Contacted Stone Art and they came yesterday and fitted a new glass - original Invicta glass - and changed the door seal as well. Again not cheap but as the stove is quality I was not going to moan about the price. However, just in case you need to know the price of original Invicta glass it costs 175 euros! The door seal was just 25 euros and the work - three guys turned up - was another 100 euros. Expensive, I thought so at the time but quality costs and they did a perfect job and cleared up everything afterwards as well, top marks from me!!
Lit the fire again tonight and it works even better than when new so all in all I am very happy with the price, the work and the timescale involved.

Thank you for the information, can you please remind me where Stone art is? It used to be on a row of shops not far from Erdiners however, this is now an art shop or similar.

Stone Art is now only in Lefkosia, another reason for high price of coming out to here! UK prices are a lot less but flt fares to go get it are a "touch" higher - lol.

I would highly recommend StoneArt. An excellent company with an excellent record. The price does not come in to it "Safety" is the word and StoneArt provides it all. Do not forget it has to fit perfectly and be guaranteed can an ordinary company give you that? Yes it is cheaper in the UK and very available. Good luck.

Molly, I know it is expensive but it is worth it!! Get Stone Art to come and fit it if they have glass to fit your particular model of fire. I am a very handy guy and do just about everything myself but I am very glad I got them to do the job. That ceramic glass is different and when it cracks you will get very small and very sharp little bits, that you can hardly see, falling off it. My glass was held in with clips that are screwed into the sides of the burner and difficult to extract to start with, then when you fit a new glass you need heat proof silicone as well and I would recommend new seals at the same time as the old ones will have been crushed over time. As Tanky says - Safety - is the prime concern, you can see the smoke and flames but you will not be able to see the gas that escapes if you use the wrong glass or it is not fitted correctly. Get professionals to do the job and sleep safe in front of your fire!

Paralık Karakum is still there, it's the house next to it that's gone. I think Paralık are extending their car park.
