Three & half hours off Girne central, on for thirty minutes then off again for another two hours. No phone connections. Something is seriously amiss!

Power and water back but NO Internet again!

7 hour power cut in edremit yesterday.

Amazed after the winds, they actually got it back on.
Our cables were 'dancing' in the street, thank goodness they had in October cut the trees back.
Well done to everyone who actually went out in those conditions, whether it was their job or not.
Çatalköy baskan and girne mayor updates and advice helped understand the conditions they were tackling.

Just over 8 hours power cut in our part of Alsancak. I stood on the top terrace and watched power come back to areas, some just a few houses at a time. It reached some neighbours around 6pm but took another 2 hours to get to us. It only affected about 18 properties and at least half of them are empty, so it was very frustrating. At least we haven't got Storm Bert Very grateful to those that have us back on, as it was pretty cold in the house.

We were told to stay in. Yet these people go out and risk their lives to reconnect our electricity.

FAILURE CUT (ALL COUNTIES)
Due to a malfunction with the electrical grid on Thursday, November 28, 2024 we will have regional outages. Energization will be initiated according to the failure.

Kib-Tek General Manager Aydin made statements to the TAK reporter about power outages that are effective across the country.

Indicating that the power plants have been disabled due to a failure in the main line of the power output and that there are power outages in the regions due to this, Aydin said that the main line is now being put into operation.Aydin said that with the commissioning of the backup, the power plants were re-engaged and energy was started to be supplied to the regions.

Stating that the fault has been detected and work has been carried out, Aydin announced that they plan to correct the fault within an hour.

Some places have electricity. Can see plenty of lights along the coastline heading towards Girne, although impossible to say what areas.
My internet has gone down now, but my UPS is still running. Poor show with ISP back up only running for about 30 mins.

21:03 - light returns to Catalkoy!

Malatya. Yesterday, Thursday We had a 3 hour power cut from 12.30pm, and a further power cut on the same day from 17.25 until around 20.00hrs. ONE POWER CUT IS BAD ENOUGH BUT TWO(2) IN THE SAME DAY!!!!! That’s taking the ****. Is this what we have to look forward to this winter.

If you read the papers and kibtek's facebook, they have tried to keep people updated. The storms last weekend can not of helped.
They also had to shut the road to high sided vehicles due to low strung cables which does indicate lots of problems they have to solve before getting the country lit up again.

I agree about Ercan. When I flew back in two weeks ago, arrivals/luggage collection was one HUGE empty warehouse area with just two carousels in it. It really is a total waste of money. Obviously the size is supposed to impress, but as it so empty, badly lit and badly signposted it wouldn't impress anyone. There were three or four EXIT doors only one of which was actually working, the others were barred plus women wandering around with peoples names cards. They looked bored stiff and fed up. Departing was a laugh (sort off) There were arrows directing us to our Gate, so we followed them, to find we were up escalators, down escalators, through doors, down corridors. We could see our Gate, but not how to get there. In the end we ignored the arrows, moved Cones out of the way, and arrived at our destination.

Out again Tatlisu at 19:30. Can't see any reports of reason why.

Was only for 25 mins, so hopefully that's it for the night. House gets baltic so quickly.

Should have kept my mouth shut last night, went out again just before 9 pm. No idea when it came back on but in the wee hours for sure.

Apparently it was off and on and in Tatlisu all night. It was on at 0630 when I took dogs, again when I got home. Off again for few hours but who knows for how long?

Just stop saying it’s fixed when it clearly isn’t! They’ve for years, just employ people who can do the job and put the EU money that they get into the infrastructure.

NC2016, yes it's been naff in Tatlisu for the past 3 nights, more off than on. Thought we had another one this morning, but on hearing neighbour's pool pump going and then checking, my main switch at fuse box had tripped. No doubt thanks to Kibtek's on and off like a yo-yo during the night....the on periods where for about 1 second!
