last one to leave, tun the lights out!!
usually inflation sorts out inflation, here they just create more inflation and hope for something.
It will not end well at all.
They may well end up with fewer people taxing their cars, just take a chance!

Read yesterday in one of the newspapers that the govt. has acted illegally with these latest increases, which, by law, should not be more than the price of inflation.

Thanks Dave G and Frugal.
Reyntj....absolutely ridiculous about the hefty percentage on milk. I cannot see how it can be justified.

It does seem out of proportion to the rise in the cost of materials!
Without seeking to justify the price rise, perhaps their thinking is: -
Our Wage costs have increased
Our Rent?/ Site cost?/Maintenace cost has increased
Our Transport costs have increased
Our Electricity/gas cost has increased
Another Wage increase is imminent
We have held our prices despite all the recent increases in cost, but the rise in cost of materials is the final straw and has reduced our profit to near zero, so we now need to bite the bullet and charge a realistic price or face the possibility of going out of business.
I'm not saying that all of the above is valid, just food for thought, so please don't shoot me down!
I just know that I wouldn't like to be trying to run a business here in the current economic climate!

Yes all valid points..was reading an article earlier. (Cant find it now) They where asking locals about the costs..
The responses where that they should stop importing expensive goods and grow stuff locally..
But in my experience local produce is more expensive.
So not sure how they think thats a solution..
Quite how they are going to attain the budget for 2025 to pay the increased goverment salaries is yet to.be seen ..the car tax rises wont cover it..
I doubt any expats be-grudge the salary increase just the knock on effects

Salaries here..imagine gps and teachers being paid the same in the uk...they need to start laundering more money like the city of london where i read 40% of the worlds dirty money filters through...

The hike in navigation has been court!
People's Party President Kudret Ozersay announced that they had filed a lawsuit against the exorbitant navigation hike as of today in the Supreme Court.
Ozersay emphasized that all the operations of the administration should be in accordance with the constitution and the law, and pointed out that it is not enough to make a statement against unlawfulness, the importance of taking concrete steps. In his statement, Ozersay used the following statements:
βIf this is a state of law, every operation of the administration must be carried out in accordance with the constitution and laws. We will not pass legal disputes to defend the rights of the people. In this direction, today it is navigational in the Supreme Court hikewe filed a lawsuit against him. We will share the details with the public in the coming days.β
