Çatalköy Esentepe Belediye monthly council tax has increased from 459.78TL to 724.48TL this month. Have other Belediyes made a similar increase?

Just paid 1614.73tl for the year. Gecitkale.

Tatlisu Bele have increased the monthly service charge by 89%, but not water charge. Not complaining it's gone up from 68.97TL to 130.41TL. To be honest, I wouldn't have noticed had I not forgotten to pay last months bill.

Property tax for year is 2117.10 TL, last year 712.80TL, so almost tripled. Still not complaining, we get good value from them.

We pay yearly not due out till April to pay in May in Lapta area

Service charge is 429.90 a month
Water 109.55 a month

Had no street lights for 15 years. No road. Wants 36.000 pounds to put in road. Bele blames government. So no chance.

We are doomed!

Paid 2,895.12 last week. That was for two of us for two years. Apparently loads of we Alsancak residents didn't pay last year cos they didn't prepare the accounts. They are catching people now as they go into offices to pay their water bills.

Normally they all review their bills in the first quarter
Girne have sent me their monthly bills for card users 546.91tl last month 374.86tl

Hopefully it will not be the year they review the property tax too. But noticed when a customer sold their house last month it had increased by a lot, if only the sale had gone through in December. Unfortunately only available at the moment if you inquire upstairs.

Please explain What Tax are we talking IPT…. ????? If so didn't know they were out yet

I was referring to the tax that is due monthly to cover rubbish collection, street lighting.

I think others may be referring to the annual immovable property tax which may be paid in full by the end of April or in 2 instalments at the end of April and September.
