Tragic outcome after a very long wait. David Shepherd

I remember that night, we were with the owners of Jessic, their faces will haunt me, laughing having a good time to white disbelief as they hurried off to Karsiyaka.

To read yesterday April 2021 my precious brother David Shepherd was mowed down by Anthony Bolger and left for dead. We have waited patiently for nearly 4 years to get justice for his callous slaughter. He has been found guilty and sentenced to 1 year in prison!!

I feel for the family and all that knew and loved him.

Was amazed at the length of time this took to get to court and the sentence is a joke. What kept crime down out here was that the length of sentences was high, if they lose that then god help us

Isn't that why you have a law and guidelines to sentences?

I can understand flight, even survival but then generally the heart takes over. The person left the scene, I have read someone tried to flash them indicating they should stop. The damage to the car should of told them they had done something very wrong that night not reach for the bottle before advising the authorities. In almost 4 years nobody has come forward to throw doubt on the person's movements that fateful night.

How do you mean? It’s been a while so details of the case aren’t as fresh as they might have been

I've not seen any reports in local newspapers on the outcome of this case, it's as if its been kept under the radar. I wonder why Cyprus Today hasn't reported when it is of interest of so many english living here.
David was a good guy. No sentence can bring him back but seems so very unjust and unfair.

Just read that Bolger died today in Lefkosa hospital. Not making any comment with respect to family and friends of David Shepherd.

Anthony Edward BOLGER, who was convicted in Central Prison in Nicosia, died in the Urological Service of Emergency Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
