Chaos isn't it Dalartokat Im watching three UK news outlets at the moment and they now all agree it will not be open for days, as more and more problems arise. Knock on effects are roads and rails that bye-pass. Gatwick etc are going to be doing their best, and quite possibly planes will be diverted to the Continent if necessary. This is where booking hotels etc on Credit Card is so beneficial, cos those stuck abroad with no hope of returning are going to have to pay shed loads of hotel accommodation and that isn't totally guaranteed. Reports are coming in from the States and the and Far East of problem with international flights and some flights due to land at Heathrow might even have to be diverted to Iceland, How much do you bet, that some twerps will still turn up???

What a nightmare for travellers all over the world, going to have huge knock on effects. Feel really sorry for them.
We were delayed a week down at Stansted in 2010 due to volcanic ash from Iceland, it cost us an absolute packet and much inconvenience trying to get rebooked.

They already have been turning up, one woman said she was hopeful her flight would take off, as standing outside and Police telling its not going to happen. Will be a week now at least a week.. Agree will cost people money but also the costs to Airlines .
