If it is of interest, Great British Railway Journeys with Michael Portillo, Tuesday 29th April, 6.30pm BBC2, will be partly coming from on board the Ross Revenge, home of Radio Caroline, in the River Blackwater, Essex. On iPlayer obviously for those in TRNC that have it.

RADIO CAROLINE, got me through life when I was in a cheap bedsit in Southend many, many years ago. At least it stopped me crying myself to sleep when I was down to a packet of Kellog to eat and payday was two days away.

Caroline were involved in the production and even lent some of their equipment for the film when it was made. Still on the air today but in desperate need of dry dock for repairs
