Taxi charges

Got a people carrier to take 5 from patara city girne to blue song. Mistake not to get a price. 1600. At today's rate that is £32. Surely that's a rip off.
So this post is just a warning to get a price before getting in. Ps. No meter was evident

Daughter paid 140 pounds from Larnaca to Alsancak return. On the return journey the driver (it was a seven seater for one person!!) asked for another 100 pounds. She refused. I think it was because (a) petrol had gone up since the booking (b) the idiot used a seven seater (c) they took two hour to get through Metehan on return trip. TOUGH, YOU WIN SOME, YOU LOSE SOME.

Perhaps Soner could add a Taxi share section.
Maybe some of us could share details of pick up and drop off times on the airport runs and split the fees?

Hi Kerry, I've often thought that a Taxi share thingy could be useful here
I guess that it's not been done is maybe due to perceived issues of privacy, reliability and ease of organisation
Good idea though.

I would gladly join a Taxi share. However, not keen anymore on Larnaca, and don't mind two or three hour wait in Istanbul The latest Larnaca trip was an exception.

Taxis often do a share without informing you.
However it is another mickey take by them as they generally charge 100 pounds for a 70 pound taxi.
