Hello. Can anyone tell me if the rental tax percentage has gone up?
Until recently it was 8% for TL contracts and 13% for foreign currency contracts.
It has been reported elsewhere that the percentage has risen to 10% for TL and 16% for foreign currency.
Does anyone have any knowlede if this is the case.

Ive scoured the internet cant find anything..so.inconclusive but every other tax change has come with an announcement..

Would not be a surprise as the coffers are dry...
Is your elsewhere reliable?

Just realised I was looking at March receipts

Paid our holiday rental tax on Monday and it was 13%

I can easily see this being enforced...they are supposedly bringing in licensing laws for holiday lets.

If it mirrors.turkey they slapped an extra vat charge on top..
Given the country is governed by a few and powerful some linked to the big hotels i suspect thats highly probable here as the big hotels dont like the competition and claim unfair playing field....

Im not scaremongering the threat has actually deterred me from pursuing airbnb type lettings ...there can be a lot of work involved

The percentage rise is just something I picked up from another site. I had not seen anything mentioned about a rise elsewhere and just wanted to know if anyone else had heard anything official.

Paid taxes today no rises as yet....
