How would you sell the TRNC as a holiday destination?
The historical sights? The beaches? The cuisine? The facilities? That itβs unspoilt? The convenience? The shops?

Newbies, I wouldn't as it's not the cost effective destination it once was.
Returnees, maybe reliving old memories could sell it, but you can make memories anywhere.

MnN. If I'm totally honest, None of the above. Its a bit like a bad head ache, you tend to get used to it eventually. However if I was to believe the hype and come for the first time, as a foreigner I would never come a second.

Some people want to try new places and it certainly has its own thing going on. Id sell it as a james bond location with casinos winding mountain road car chases military bases old city roof top foot escapes beaches and luxury hotels.
Im planning trips to cairo marrakesh and qatar. All these places have pros and cons im going because i havent been. I can envisage others come here for the same reason as im going to these places. Maybe 1 offs.
Many here now, came because it was cost effective not everybody thinks like that. It doesnt meet that criteria any more.
You can certainly see some james bond car chase driving here ...just get a taxi...

I have noticed a distinct lack of tourists on the Lapta strip this year, although it is early in the season.
