All registered charities are deserving of course, but I do find animal charities often get left behind. Off the top of my head, Kyrenia Animal Rescue.

Little Ranch Rescue. Irene does an amazing job. I got both my little dogs from her, and due to mobility/medical issues asked her to try to rehome earlier this year. Lola was adopted by her foster mum and Charlie is on her way to UK. If I could have kept them I would have.

It broke my heart to do it and I lost the plot for a while. I think about them every day x

There is a KAR shop which gladly accepts donations especially clothing items. The shop is on the East side just past Erdiner supermarket on the right hand side.

Old people in the TRNC are treated like third classes citizens as Dementia and Alzeimers are not considered to be considered illnesses and I would really recommend the home in Lefkosa....... Ece Bakim.

Thank you benjaminbutton for also recommending Ece Bakim. Maybe you and I know the same person residing there...

KAR hold bazaar's and and have a successful charity shop…

Ece Bakin has no such thing so any donation is welcome here….

I don’t want to cause a row, but if the locals did a little bit more towards their own causes...

How does anyone know what people of any nationality donate, unless they make it public? Many people like to keep donations anonymous, not everyone has to see their name in print. You haven't caused a row with me Nc, just pointing out that you can't possibly know who donates or does not if they choose to remain quiet about it.

Quite right alphamike many donate quietly

A lot of locals with cost of living are not as well off as some, hence why we donate food packages toys and clothes for the call when it comes
Its LW TRNC kind donation to do as see fit, they asked for suggestions and some were put forward . It’s there choice.
