I;m sure there is almost certainly a totally bonkers reason why Alsancak have charged up to and including 15th July for water. Anyone have a sensible suggestion. These are the offices that are open until 2,15 (summer time) but close the carpark at 12 noon to stop you getting in.

Catalkoy charge in arrears - how else would they know how much water you have used- so it seems strange to me. Interested to hear their explanation. Are you on a smart meter or does someone come to read it like ours?

A bloke on his tuck tuck comes and reads the meter, how he reads it I'll never know because the inside of the glass is thick with condensation and I can't read the thing at all.

BB, yes it is amazing. Twice I have had bills for 14000 tl for water. Added 400 tons onto the bill. Why when printing it out at the house, he didn't go...uh uh that can't be right! Our meter perfectly readable as well

Why is it called a water bill as most is House tax, Government tax and KDV. So I go into pay the 2,463.23tl this morning and I ask why is there an extra 677.39 x 2 on the bill. Don't know is the answer but probably owing from 2024 for something. Why twice says I, there are two people on your house contract says he. Anyone come across this before.? Living in Alsancak is supposed to mean that we have more money than those in Lapta and Camlibel, hence our bills will be higher.

My goodness, so you are being charged per person per household now? Flipping heck! My house contract says two people, but there is alas, only one of us now. I'll have to wait and see what next bill is.

alphamike, I'm going to query this. but as he said, it was probably money owing for something during 2024. Not this year. Hopefully it's just two amounts they have caught up with.

Alphamike, I had a note through my door, a month or so ago as I wasn’t in when they read the water meter. Told to go to Beli as they needed info on my household as they are planning to switch to ‘E State’.

I haven’t bothered going. I’ll just continue paying for more than I actually use until I leave here in the next month or so.
