Re: Cigars
I think there was a shop as you come from bellapais traffic lights towards bellapais, just before the turning on the left down ro molto supermarket. There is a sign, a chap in a sombrero, I think it's still there but not sure. Another idea, Alto Marea Italian restaurant in Karaoglanoglu have been having cigar events I think just getting together, enjoying a cigarette and a drink and a chat, maybe ask them.

I think it was Morellis on the main road. Changed a few yesrs ago to an Italian style, pizza place. Alta marea is down a road opposite chicken planet, fab restaurant on the sea front. Emiliano is the chef there, top class, used to be at Ibellis in Girne.benjaminbutton wrote: ↑Tue 24 Jun 2025 12:55 pmIs that what used to be called Morellos. I used to love Christmas there.

Yes it was the verandah. Beautiful spot, and beautiful restaurant, Emiliano is a fantastic chef, so the food is spot on italian. It is priced in euros on the menu, which is absolutely understable given where they source the food and wines, plus the volility of the lira but the bill is always given showing 4 currencies so take your pick. It is definitely our go to place for special occasions and the staff and service second to none. The facilities also are amazing totally catering for disabled people.benjaminbutton wrote: ↑Wed 25 Jun 2025 9:07 amAh now I know the place, It was called Verandah very small and used to be restaurant of choice for UN people and visiting VIP's.
