Invoice stress

In Cyprus, does the term "invoice" have a different meaning to what it does in the UK ?

I'm trying to pay some site maintenance fees from the UK and want them to send me an invoice or some other formal request for payment.

It seem that the invoice is only issued on receipt of payment.

What is the normal process in Cyprus to obtain a formal request for payment that would stand up in the UK for tax purposes?

Thanks,
Mike.

The word 'Hesap' means 'Account', so if (in a restaurant, for instance) you are asking for your Hesap, you are in effect asking for your 'Statement of account', i.e. a document showing what you owe.

I may be barking up the wrong tree of course - not unheard of! - but you could try asking for your Hesap...

Anybody???
