Power went off at 3.30 am not back on till 7 am again. We had this 2 weeks ago for about same length of time. The other night it went off for about an hour. Are they at it again or are we just the unlucky ones. Disgusting

behaviour seeing as they are saying how well off the country is

We had it too Kirk... not quite the same timing but - you are not alone!
The increased use of air-con is probably to blame... gawd knows what'll 'appen when all the new builds come online, it seems the people granting building permits are expecting limitless supplies, more worryingly - limitless supplies of water.
It will all end in tears... caveat emptor anyone thinking of buying on the massive developments between Girne and Tatlisu.

This happens every year not going to get any better will only get worse hence why more and more are going solar.
Can't understand why people moan all the time when there is a answer out there.

Thing is unless you have battery back up what’s the point. Won’t help at night. The only alternative is a noisy generator banging away all night. So where is the alternative

The point is that power generation can’t meet even current demands, let alone when the new builds come online, as Groucho pointed out. It’s unjust for people to have to consider spending thousands on solar solutions, while millions have been squandered on an "international" airport that can’t even accommodate international flights.”

My worry is what will happen to all the already fitted solar systems when the electricity comes from Turkey? The price of electricity will rise considerably when that happens and I can't see any company wanting to allow people with solar systems to continue to benefit from them when the company could benefit even more!

If and when that happens the easy way would be to convert the system to off grid by buying batteries.
The solar panels would be fine also the inverter does both.
My bill to kibtek is only 200tl a month has been for the last 8 months

It’s not all as easy as that you need permission for that it’s expensive and the life span of batteries is 3 years. You say your bill is 200 a month. Mine is 1600
A month but I have not laid out £10000 k

TAC I don't know where you live, and how big your property is, but believe me when it comes to using electricity I am as tight as a tic and I never have a bill less than 1,500 tl We do not use AC, not even at night EVER and we have learned how to cope with the heat. I am getting tired of people coming on this forum, going on about how they are converting to solar. i CAN'T AFFORD IT, and I know I am probably in the same position a many others.

Another thing, yes we also have been having cut this last 10 days, varying from an hour to 12 mins.
