Dear members hope you are all well. As you probably aware now we have a holiday home in Alagadi Girne. My son is currently out there now and would like to try out food restaurants in Catalkoy or Ozankoy areas . Places not too far to travel from Alagadi . They like fish and kebab; any recommendations please ?

I'm not too sure on distances compared to Ozankoy but Cengiz's in Esentepe is worth a try in my view. On the way there you have Joya at Crystal Bay Village - both of which we've never had a bad experience. Also along the way just past Esentepe is Diva. Only been once but very nice food and Spice Garden also further long.

T'other way, Ozankoy, years ago we used to stay there sometimes twice a year before we bought in Esentepe, for us it would have been Hasan's Rose Garden and Erol's, (though I'm unsure if Erol's is still trading) and then Rafters. I have noted on other threads some new names in Ozankoy but we've not been back for about 3 years now. The Courtyard was the last place we went then.

All of the above have a slight share of typical touristy offerings which you can find anywhere, but also some specialities, which is always a bonus if you prefer eating something different each time you go out.

Unfortunatly Erols closed for covid and did not reopen and sadly Erol died about 2 years ago miss Erol and Caroline great food many happy nights there

Lots of lovely places up in Esentepe and surrounding area.

There are places in Alagadi sorry cant recall the name, Kathleens i think is one I’m so members will fill in the others,

Yes, good restaurants in the village. Benoz is the first as you drive in, always very good.

Rose garden also closed, Khans is good food and very good value, Eminem is good for traditional meze/kebab but better book!

Oh yes, another vote for Eminem, catalkoy. Excellent food, good prices, beautiful building and setting. But yes, best book, very popular with those in the know. Oh and be sure and go hungry,
