KIB-TEK will cut off power in many areas of Nicosia, Kyrenia and Güzelyurt between 18:00 and 19:30 this evening to fix a fault in a high voltage power line.

Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK ) announced that there will be a power outage in many areas of Nicosia, Kyrenia and Güzelyurt districts on Tuesday, July 22 (today).
According to a statement from the institution, some areas will not be able to receive electricity between 18:00 and approximately 19:30 due to work to fix the fault on the high voltage line .
The main areas that will be affected by the power outage are:
-Nicosia – Kyrenia line and its surroundings: Boğazköy Village, Boğaz Junction, Hediyem Su, St. Hilarion, GKK Headquarters, Ağırdağ, Asok Villas, Yukarı Dikmen and its surroundings, Taşkent, Güngör and its quarries, Dağyolu, Pınarbaşı, Kömürcü.
- Kyrenia center and its surroundings: Kyrenia Police Department, Ciklos, Doğanköy, Kyrenia Marina, Harbour and Bazaar areas, Dome, Rocks, Colony, Savoy Hotels surroundings, Akpınar Patisserie area, 20 July Stadium,GAU vicinity, Zeytinlik, K'oğlu area, Jasmine Court, Patara Site, Ship Hotel, Topset Hotel, Karmi (Karaman), Edremit, Hideaway Club, Meriç Erülkü Site, Kyrenia Teachers' House, Akçiçek Hospital and Kyrenia Social Housing.
Güzelyurt and its surroundings: Gürpınar, Yılmazköy, Serhatköy, Gayretköy, Şahinler, Mevlevi, Türkeli, Alayköy, Serhatköy Water Pumping Station, facilities between Türkeli Junction and Zet Karting, Metehan Border Gate and some areas on the Nicosia-Güzelyurt main road.
KIB-TEK stated that electricity may be restored earlier or later than the specified time, depending on the progress of the work. Therefore, citizens are reminded to act as if the grid is always powered.
Authorities apologized for the disruption and asked that the necessary measures be taken to prevent the local people from suffering.
