Says it all in the UK now, Idiots have escaped from the asylum and taken over.

Man carrying home his gardening tools arrested by armed police in Manchester. Samuel Rowe, who was returning from allotment, seeking to overturn caution for possession of an offensive weapon. ((/))

I think the police have pretty much given up on catching criminals, even if they do they rarely do any significant time.
But they have targets to meet so by criminalising normal people they can hit those targets. Traffic offences, something offensive posted on Twitter are all good.
In a year’s time it will be a tick in the arrested for carrying an offensive weapon box and help with the figures. Be nice if it was a zombie machete but you can’t have everything.

It's a bit 50/50...we have a lot of lone wolves in the UK and whilst I have sympathy for this young man it's difficult for the police when a member of the public reports someone, they have to pursue the incident. I'm quite happy with that.

Fair enough they investigated it but once they established it was genuine why the need for a caution? Smells of plumping up the figures

Still now they are getting more proactive the penny might drop as to why a town of 300 people need 20 Turkish Barbers

Agree the police should have been more pragmatic in their approach but this young man is a bit naive in thinking he can walk down the road in khaki and having equipment on his belt that could cause harm and not alert someone who would want to report him, especially in the climate we are facing with stabbings. We had another last night in Bermondsey London, 2 people stabbed to death, another injured in hospital.
As for the caution he's received it saves money and time than going to court.

Turkish barbers are nothing to do with stabbings, that's money laundering, Nigel Farage is going to sort that one out.

No problem with him being reported & no problem with the police investigating but giving the caution is silly & obviously to get a tick in the offensive weapons box.
He was a mug to accept the caution because it would never have gone to court in a million years
