Anyone had any paper work certified lately i.e. a passport or House Insurance policy (to confirm to a UK office where you live) ? If so, any chance you could let me know who you went to (not an actual name, if you would prefer) i.e. Bank Manager, Solicitor, Consultant M.D. Notary etc., and how much you were charged. Thanks

Being an old fart I have to provide "Proof of Life" on occasion to my pension providers. That form can be signed by a multitude of people, strangest of all is a University student. However, in order to make it really official I had my last return signed by the Major of Catalkoy who also applied his official stamp to it - no charge at all. It was accepted by DWP as well if that helps you!

Thanks waddo, DWP no problem, its still Halifax who are refusing to hand over my money, including ISA cash. Proof of life was a doddle and this istn't just a signature and stamp, if you read through my thread re Problems with Halifax stopping my money, which you very kindly replied to. This on top of Pof A, which they are almost poo hooing.
